The quality of the course if vetted by the University. That isn’t true, everyone knows it, and no one is arguing it. There is a public misconception or prejudice to a non traditional way. I made a deliberate choice to give back to my Country, and then focus on school. People simply look for a reason to not enroll in continuing education programs. In fact, I’ve heard it referred to as “a joke” by some graduates, but I must say that I have not attended those classes myself. Havard would have not received to flack if they did not have this phrase "Extension School" ..and just kept it "Harvard University" with an exception ..you can take courses online. Lastly, when your degree is recorded on the transcript, it shows that it is specifically awarded by the Harvard Extension School with the full title of the degree. In the end, my attorney said that they’ll have to send my degree for special evaluation to confirm Computer Science concentration because the transcripts specify one thing and the diploma a different one. I hear you GOT INTO Harvard! This is an immense gift and one that is allowing me to pursue my education in the way I see fit for me and my future career plans. I don’t blame you for passing candidates who misrepresent based on lack of integrity. A lot of Harvard employees pursue HES classed and degree programs because they get a VERY discounted tuition ($40 a class).
