The pinkness is dependent on the lake having evaporated due to a long hot summer, so I think it unlikely it will be terribly pink in September. I even tasted the salty foam and it was yummy..hahaha. For someone who can’t get enough of the color pink, these lakes were nearly as exciting for me as getting to meet the quokkas. Quite fun to run and stomp on it all. I just love this island you get the ferry from Perth Or Fremantle,you can take anything you like you there or just eat there,lots of food for all we had a 3 course lunch at the lodge which we paid altogether with the boat,theres the beach,restaurants,the tram that takes you to the top&see all scenary,museum,,,you can spend the whole day or book accomodation for as long as you want but not cheap!you can also hire bikes!Last but not least the beautiful Quakas which are becoming extinct,Adorable!I have been there 3 times and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The view was great and it was such a peaceful walk for me in between the lakes. After biking for a long time, we found it!At first the Pink Lake did not look pink, but nearby there was red surrounding the lake.As I kept on looking, I could see that the pinl Kale was lightly pink.
