Themis or Barbri for bar prep? Themis has 15-20 minute lectures so you can do it in chunks. Do a barbri course if you are not self motivated and/or your firm is footing the bill. I mainly focused on the outlines (Conviser Mini Review!) Kaplan seemed to be more confident about the MBE (I also noticed many people are taking their MBE add-ons in addition to Barbri/Themis bar prep), I thought Kaplan's website had a cleaner look, I liked the idea of being able to pick a tiny little sub-topic in the MBE Qbank in order to focus on the issues you are struggling with.
I doubt the pass rates are much different than Themis.

I think the question is less “is this program going to teach me al of the the raw knowledge” and more “can I use the resources they give me to learn what raw knowledge I can, but also hone my instincts/understand the logic of the subject enough to guess when I need to.” That, plus does the program teach you how to take the exam (because bar writing/multiple choice is its own skill set. It really doesn't matter where you spend your hard earned money it all comes down to your luck and how you feel on the day of the exam. I did better on the bar than expected, so I can't complain. The Conviser was good to study off of but that's it and I'm sure you can get that off eBay. I felt that it really helped me with understanding the rules and practicing MBE questions.
But there are plenty of things that I only got because Themis drilled them/they came up in practice. For current and former Law School Redditors.

I supplemented with Kaplan because my school gave it to my class for free (I thought the PMBR MBE questions felt more like the actual exam) and I also used Critical Pass flashcards during the last two weeks. But if I had to do it all again, I’d still choose Themis. Themis.
