I found Kaplan to be just fine. All of the younger attorneys in the firm I clerk with tell me Barbri or bust.
Kaplan is generally cheaper and remember that the price is negotiable and I would echo the sentiment already stated here that the in-class option is a waste unless you really need forced motivation. My state director was helpful and Themis' online team was super responsive to questions. Took Themis; found out I passed yesterday, and would probably have recommended it regardless. The 20-30 minute lecture videos were a godsend; some days, I would watch 10 of them in a row, and some days I would watch 2, write an essay or two, watch another 2-3 videos, do sets of practice questions, watch 3 or 4, etc. I think the graders are basically law students who could not get other jobs for the summer. The state-based materials were confusing, and my domestic relations lecture had a whole section on same-sex marriage that Kaplan just told me to ignore. It's more expensive but if you find a few other people that are looking for a prep course and group together you'll get a good deal.
