It is easy for those who are interested to plug into a strong Christian community. The Department of Philosophy has research strengths in three main areas. For the graduate student with a passion for analytical and critical thinking, who loves asking questions, debating answers, and deliberating on morals and ethics, pursuing a MPhil Degree might be a solid foundation and preparation for a variety of potential career paths. Especially considering the unexpected deaths of two black students on campus this past semester, black students are feeling more desolate in the school's environment than usual.

It is the best and the worst, wonderful and terrible, and for me, that feels like a fairly accurate representation of how the world is today. I love being able to attend countless games while seeing cheering fans who truly love where they go to school. Generally, graduate programs in philosophy emphasize social, political, ethical and legal philosophy, and may cover classical, modern and contemporary aspects of these areas. Coming into a four year university as a Latinx first-generation student was nerve-wracking at first; I wasn't sure how well I would adapt to a new environment. It's a large public university in a mid sized city. Study hard, Play hard. The campus is nice, with some Modern accents on some of the buildings. Professors and administration really care about their students and help you make connections to take on the next step of your future endeavors.

Overall, I would recommend UCI to incoming students! The diversity is impeccable. You might want to earn a Masters of Philosophy on campus, and benefit from access to the libraries, and interactions with faculty and classmates. In order for me to obtain it is to work very hard. The College of Engineering is very popular. Not only did I thrive academically, but my social life excelled as well.
