The house is amazing, very clean, with everything you need at your fingertips. We will definitely be back! This property can accommodate up to 8 people with 4 rooms and 6 beds at your disposal. COVID-19 update . The cottage is ideally located close to Diggers Beach, resorts, restaurants and local attractions. Lisa was great to communicate with throughout the booking process and went above and beyond to organise cot, high chair and toys for our daughter. Everything we could possibly need. The short walk to the most beautiful beach more than makes up for not having a pool.

We offer horse riding tours, station stay accommodation and bush camping.

It was the perfect balance of luxury accommodation and the comforts of home.

From horse riding, self-guided fishing, bush walking to bird watching, there’s plenty to do – or you can do very little. In the early 1970s Roderick started working it, making improvements, and was granted a lease in 1976. It was only two nights, as we had time constraints, but next time it will be longer. He named the property Digger’s Rest Station in reference to local history. Our stay was very pleasant though too brief. Plus the BBQ was cleaner than new!! The outdoor area and garden is beautiful. It lets you experience the stunning views of the Cockburn Ranges, while taking a bit of time out for a spot of Barramundi fishing or bird watching. When we arrived we were instantly impressed by the location, layout, functionality and thoughtfulness into everything. This avoids any issues with double bookings or incorrect tariffs. So very well stocked! The village of Diggers Camp is 1 hour and 15 minutes north of Coffs Harbour and just under 2 hours south of Ballina. Everything we needed and more was beautifully provided for in the cottage – it was truly a home away from home experience. The drive is 46 kilometres from the historic town of Wyndham along the picturesque King River Road. We hope that we can come again one day.

In the event you are unable to go ahead with your booking due to a natural disaster, an option to ‘defer’ the booking may be granted at the owner's discretion. Diggers Rest Station is a cattle station nestled on the banks of the tidal King River in the East Kimberley.

The old Digger’s Rest pumping station is located just 4 kilometres away on a large watehole of the King River. What a beautiful cottage!

An absolute 10/10 for our stay. From the time we walked in we felt right at home. I’m sure we will be back – perhaps a quick HSC break later in the year.

Coffs Harbour’s appeal lies largely in the…, With a pandemic on our hands, no one could have predicted the turmoil and disorder the coronavirus has dealt to…. WA, and We come down about 3 times a year to bring our son to a scout camp so will book your cottage every time! Camping at Digger’s Rest Station is the perfect way to experience the Gibb River Road. The Diggers Headland Reserve Camping Ground caters for approximately 26 sites and is located on Crown Reserve.

They came about from Roderick’s desire to preserve the experience and history of the stockmen, the cattle musters and the pioneering years of the Kimberley region. Excellent kitchen and dining set up. *** PLEASE BE AWARE - NO HEATING APPLIANCES CAN BE USED DUE TO SOLAR POWER*** This rustic style cottage has views overlooking the bay at Diggers Camp - a very unique and highly recommended location accessed via an unsealed (though regularly maintained) road and nestled within Yuraygir National Park. We would love to come back and stay longer with our husbands and really enjoy the great location. Such a wonderful place with everything that one requires for a memorable holiday with family. There are just a few houses on the headland and it is surrounded by beautiful bays and stunning walks. Ceiling fans will keep you cool or enjoy the game on the TV. Total Adults & Children * Planned Arrival Date. Recommend it for friend groups or families. The linen that was provided was clean and crisp and we received a beautiful welcome basket which was a nice touch. Thank you so much for all the little personal touches. Camping is available in the Diggers Headland Reserve in December and January and New South Wales or Queensland public school holiday periods and is categorised as primitive so if real camping is for you then this is a must stop!

The luxury accommodation features 3 bedrooms, a new modern kitchen, open plan living and 2 bathrooms with high-end fixtures and quality appliances.

The majestic Cockburn Ranges to the West and the Erskine Ranges to the East provide a stunning backdrop to the station, and Diggers Rest Station was one of the locations used in the filming of Baz Luhrmann’s Australia. The beach is also great for surfing, snorkelling and fishing. The electronic door code was great as we had no keys to lose or worry about. The best place to stay around Diggers Camp is on Stayz.

The cottage is privately situated, making it easy to retreat and relax in the landscaped courtyard with a morning coffee after a swim, surf or walk along Coffs favourite beach. For day visitors, please avoid busy parks between 11am and 2pm during the school holidays to avoid congestion. The property was perfect in every way and had a lovely cosy feel to it.

World War I return soldiers (also known as diggers) operated the nearby pumping station that supplied fresh water to the town of Wyndham. It has it all. The location was ideal as it was very quiet and very close to the surf beaches which was great as I surfed a couple of breaks nearby. The little extra personal touches made it even better. We spent a fair bit of time at Diggers Beach and on the massive lawn at the front of Aanuka Beach Resort which was great to run around and play on. It helps if we know your intended check in and check out and how many adults, children and pets you will be bringing along. This availability data is indicative only.
